The calculation is usually ready within a few weeks. Certification runs in parallel with construction and is completed after completion and inspections. The effort depends on building size, desired class and the number of changes during construction. KlimaHaus Agency fees are added.
In South Tyrol KlimaHaus certification is mandatory for new buildings and certain retrofits. The basis is the provincial rules on building energy performance and the Technical Guideline of the South Tyrol Energy Agency - KlimaHaus. In South Tyrol the KlimaHaus certificate replaces the national energy performance certificate (APE).
