What we take care of

  • 1Safety coordinator during design (CSP)
  • 2Safety coordinator during execution (CSE)
  • 3Safety and coordination plan (PSC)
  • 4Prior notification to the labour inspectorate
  • 5Site inspections and reports
  • 6Buildings, road works and prefabricated construction

This list is not complete - describe your project and we will tell you which points are relevant for you.

How we work together

  1. First meeting: we check whether appointing coordinators is mandatory.
  2. Coordination during design (CSP): preparation of the safety and coordination plan (PSC) and the building file.
  3. Support with the prior notification to the competent authorities.
  4. Coordination during execution (CSE): coordination meetings and briefing of contractors.
  5. Regular site inspections with reports and plan updates.
  6. Completion with handover of the documentation to the client.

Time and cost

The safety and coordination plan is usually ready in one to three weeks. Coordination during execution covers the entire construction period. The effort depends on the scope and duration of the works, the number of contractors and special risks such as work at height or crane use.

Legal basis

The basis is Legislative Decree 81/2008 (Consolidated Act on Occupational Safety), in particular Title IV on construction sites. If several contractors work on site, the client must appoint a coordinator for design and one for execution. The content of the safety and coordination plan is defined in Annex XV.

Service area

We work throughout Val Venosta - from Resia, Curon and Malles via Prato, Lasa and Silandro to Naturno - in the Burgraviato around Merano and on request throughout South Tyrol. Our office is based in Prato allo Stelvio; site visits are standard for us. We work in German and Italian.

Frequently asked questions

When is a safety coordinator required?

When more than one contractor works on site, even at different times. This also applies to private clients.

Which abbreviations are used in safety coordination?

In South Tyrol both Italian and German abbreviations are used:

  • CSP / SKP - Safety coordinator during design
  • CSE / SKA - Safety coordinator during execution
  • PSC / SKP - Safety and coordination plan
  • POS / ESP - Contractor's operational safety plan
  • DPI / PSA - Personal protective equipment

Design and execution can be coordinated by the same person.

What does the safety and coordination plan contain?

The site organisation, the risks of the works, preventive measures and coordination between contractors.

Is the client responsible for safety?

The client has its own obligations, such as appointing the coordinators. With proper coordination these are fulfilled.

Do you also cover road works and prefabricated construction?

Yes, we coordinate building, road and prefabricated construction sites.
